The Elaine Benson Gallery

A Legacy

The Elaine Benson Gallery founded in 1965 by Emanuel and Elaine Benson. It closed its doors in 2006. This gallery was located at 2317 Montauk Hwy across from the post office in Bridgehampton, New York.

Honoring the memory of Elaine Benson

The Victorian house is gone. The Barn where the gallery was housed has been torn down but the memories survive. Elaine Benson was a leader in our cultural community and an inspiration and role model to a generation of women.

Elaine Benson died in 1998 leaving her work, her gallery, and her legacy to her daughter Kimberly Goff who continues to curate shows working as the Elaine Benson Gallery.
